2015 Texas Pre-Green Enrollment Doubles!

The 2015 Texas Pre-Green Super Series' first six $2,500 Added Stake classes have brought about enrollment of 36 horses, doubling last month's total and surpassing enrollment from February of 2014. Among the early season winners were Texas Pre-Green veterans James Hensen, Will Roberts, and Martien VanDerHoeven. New Texas Pre-Green Stake winner Amanda Comly also took two classes. All together, this group of riders has earned a total of $28,850.

Winners at both GSEC Winter Series I and II were new Texas Pre-Green winners Amanda Comly and NTEC Bravo, owned by Kai Handt. A five year-old Warmblood gelding, NTEC Bravo is in his first year of enrollment in the Texas Pre-Green Super Series.

Taking the Stake class at GSEC Winter Series III, Martien VanDer Hoeven and Augusta Pines Farm's Foremost took home $1,177 for their efforts. Also in his first year of Texas Pre-Green enrollment, Foremost is a seven year-old Dutch Warmblood gelding.

The fourth and final week of GSEC's Winter Series was bested by Copy Right, piloted by Will Roberts. Owned by Falcon Ridge Stables, five year-old Warmblood gelding Copy Right is also in his first year of enrollment in the series.

Currently leading the series after the first six Stake classes are Casiretto, owner Krystal Zufelt, and rider Stacie Goodson. After a short break, the Series will resume with Pin Oak and Spring Gathering shows at Great Southwest Equestrian Center in Katy, beginning March 17. With huge payouts at stake in the Texas Pre-Green classes at these shows, enrollment is expected to spike! Full standings available below.
